The Background of Dyfed Steel
Dyfed Steels Limited was formed 30 years ago by David Thomas, Managing Director and owner, as a small local steel stockholder serving the people and businesses of West Wales.
Since then, through unrivalled personal service, coupled with a programme of continuous investment in warehouses, machinery and vehicles, Dyfed Steels has expanded to employ over 260 people at 7 sites throughout Wales and the South West of England and become the largest independent steel stockholder and processor in the region with a turnover in excess of £40 million.
Our warehouses now total over 400,000 square feet of covered storage, within which we are able to store the largest range of steel products from Security fencing to Reinforcing. Details of which can be found in the range pages of this web site.
Dyfed Steels' major processing facilities are located at the head office in Llanelli, where a full range of manufacturing facilities are available - encapsulating sawing, shot blasting, painting, presses, shears, guillotines, profiling, folding, cropping and punching - all of which are detailed more comprehensively in the Services area of this website.
